Tesco’s Bags of help fund & We need your help!

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the Tesco in conjunction with Groundwork UK, Bags of Help Fund & it is now up to the public vote!

Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its Bags of Help initiative across England and Wales. The scheme sees three community groups and projects in each of around 200 Tesco regions awarded grants of £5,000, £2,000 and £1,000 – all raised from the 5p bag charge. greenspace scotland is working with Groundwork to support Scottish communities.

Bags of Help offers community groups and projects across the UK a share of revenue generated from the 5p charge levied on single-use carrier bags. The public will now vote in store from 1 to 31 December on who should receive the £5,000, £2,000 and £1,000 awards.

We now have a chance to gain up to £5000 towards the Skene Street Project which would be a massive boost to the project.

If we are to reach the full potential of this fund we need your help! If you shop in Tesco stores between the 1st & 31st of December then you can ask for a token to put into the tub for the project and help us secure the top award!

Make sure and tell everyone you know so we can spread the word!
