Several Temporary Traffic Orders

Schoolhill, Back Wynd, Upperkirkgate

Description : Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 62(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 11:00 until 11:30 on 22 September, 2016, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Schoolhill, Aberdeen between its junctions with Belmont Street and Upperkirkgate and also Back Wynd, Aberdeen between its junction with Schoolhill and Little Belmont Street. Upperkirkgate, Aberdeen, will also be closed between its junctions with Schoolhill and Broad Street. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during a RGC procession to St. Nicholas Kirk.
Alternate Route : An alternative route is available via Blackfriars Street, St. Andrews Street, George Street, John Street, Loch Street, Gallowgate and Upperkirkgate.

Belmont Street, Little Belmont Street, Gaelic Lane

Description : Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 62(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.and under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order provides for the Belmont Street Country Fair and Street Market. The effect of the order, which will operate between 06:00 and 17:00 on Saturday, 24 September, 2016, is to impose a prohibition of driving on Belmont Street, Little Belmont Street and Gaelic Lane, Aberdeen. In the case of Little Belmont Street, Aberdeen, there will be an exemption for access, but only for loading or unloading goods, and disabled badge holders taking access to disabled parking bays on Little Belmont Street. Also, the one way restriction on Little Belmont Street, Aberdeen, shall be suspended.

Description : Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named orders in terms of its powers under Section 62(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 and Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The orders provide for Aberdeen City Council’s “In Town Without My Car” event. The effect of the first order, which will operate between 06:00 and 20:00 on the 25th September, 2016, is to close Belmont Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Gaelic Lane and Schoolhill, and to close Schoolhill, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Blackfriars Street and Back Wynd, also Little Belmont Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Belmont Street and Back Wynd, and Gaelic Lane, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Belmont Street and Back Wynd.The second order imposes a restriction on parking and waiting on Schoolhill, Aberdeen, including the inset road, and Belmont Street, Aberdeen, during the same times. An exemption shall be made for vehicles being displayed during, the event and for vehicles associated with deliveries to the event.
Alternate Route : An alternative route for this closure will be available via Rosemount Viaduct, Union Terrace, Union Street, Broad Street or vice versa.

Skene Terrace

Description : Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 on 29 September, 2016, until 20:00 on 1 October, 2016, is to impose a temporary prohibition of waiting on the north side of Skene Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junction with Rosemount Viaduct and east boundary of 40 Skene Terrace. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during SGN gas connection works.
