Description : The effect of the order, which will operate between the times given below on Sunday, 9 November, 2014, is to provide for temporary traffic management arrangements in connection with Remembrance Day events within Aberdeen city. Between 09:00 and 12:00, Schoolhill will be closed between Back Wynd and Blackfriars Street. Blackfriars Street, Back Wynd, Gaelic Lane, Belmont Street, Little Belmont Street and High Street will be completely closed. Rosemount Viaduct will be closed between Union Terrace and Blackfriars Street. Between 10:15 and 10:45, North Deeside Road, Peterculter, Aberdeen will be closed between Brighton Place and Craigton Crescent. Between 09:30 and 10:40, and between 13:00 and 14:15, Don Street, Old Aberdeen, will be closed between Lord Hay’s Road and St Machar Drive, St. Machar Drive will be closed between its junctions with Dunbar Street and The Chanonry, and College Bounds will be closed between its junctions with Meston Walk and University Road. Finally, between11:00 and 15:00, there shall be a prohibition of waiting on all sides of Pocra Quay and New Pier Road within thirty metres distance of either war memorial monument on Pocra Quay. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during Remembrance Day events.

Alternate Route : An alternative route for the Blackfriars Street Closure will be available via Union Terrace, Union Street, Broad Street and Upperkirkgate. An alternative route for the Peterculter Closure will be available via North Deeside Road, Contlaw Road and Malcolm Road. An alternative route for the Old Aberdeen Closure will be available via King Street, Mounthooly, Causewayend, Powis Place, Powis Terrace and Great Northern Road.
